Rejection Does Not Have to Define You

"Because the need to be loved & accepted runs so deep, we find ourselves doing things we never thought possible just to try to satisfy those desires. What starts off as a seemingly small comprimise can easily become a complete contradiction to the people we long to be. We set things in motion that we never intended all because we missed the miracle of His presence and promise in the midst of the mess." Lysa Terkeurst 'Univited'

I really want to share this with you. It is very important to the balance of our lifes. If we do not deal with rejection we will never be able to fully experience contenment. Only through the love of Jesus may these very intimate things be healed within us. Some of these are very painful to the point we do not share them with anyone. Just as a burn can not heal if it is covered over and kept away from the air, our emotions are much the same. If we do not express our inner brokeness and give it freely to the Lord to heal, then we will continue in the pattern of uncontentment. You can not wish things away. You can not ignore things away. These things must be dealt with and we must get real in dealing and confronting these problems. There is a reason the Lord tells us to confess things to one another in order to have them off of our chest, and exposed. This allows healing to take place. Many times we do not feel strong if we share our emotions and feelings with others. I have seen and been involved in relationships where problems were not discussed and this ultimately led to the breaking of the relationship. Communication and Honesty are not options but necessary in any given relationship. I know alot of us have problems with this but we need to be aware of the destruction that comes from these secrets kept within. Satan wants us to keep hidden secrets. We think and rethink over and over again these situations and acts, only to relive them over and over. This is only reliving each and every one to the point it is debilitating at times. We need to refuse to keep them hidden. I find it easier for myself to journal about them. Not always may I discuss them with others. If I have noone I can trust to share these burdens with, I know I may always share all things with the Lord. He is there and will never leave nor forsake us. He is our constant. I thank Him for His great love and saving grace. Many times rejection is so painful it causes depression. This is not a fun place to be. Isolating yourself from everyone is the worst thing you could do in times of depression. We are not islands and together we encourage, exhort, and edify one another. Together we are help and love for those times of great distress. Often times we have overthought things to the point of obsessing at times. This is so unhealthy. Just simply because Jane Doe or John Doe said or did a certain thing or did not do a particular thing does not mean everyone in the future will do the same. Do not assume. You know the old saying about the word assume right, " It makes an AS* out of U and ME. We are not mind readers. We do not profess to know all things. We do live and learn and experience each day hopefully with an ethusiasm for life, that each day is a wonderous gift from the Lord. We should make the most of it. You know there is always going to be someone worse off than yourself. The way I see it we are so better off than so many others sufferring around this world. Be grateful, give God the much deserved praise for keeping us. Give all of your burdens and stresses over to Jesus. He is our Lord and Savior and it is in the job description. He is Lord of our lives so we are to give Him everything, not only joys but sorrows as well. If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal savior please do not put it off. Talk with Him. Ask Him into your heart. Accept His great payment for your sins on Calvary. He died, was burried, and arose again for you, for all of mankind, we just have to accept this great gift. He paid the ultimate price to reconcile us back to the Father, and He was the perfect Lamb of God, spotless, without blemish, spot, or wrinkle. Won't you do it today. If so mean it with your entire heart and profess before others you belong to Jesus and He is your Lord and Savior. Life is short. We are not promised tomorrow. Be blessed and know you are greatly loved and adored. Pray for one another and see the miracle in each day. :)
