Who am I?

Who am I? What a very deep question, right? Am I the image and ego I portray to the world? Am I my job? What about my career choice? Am I my secret desires? Am I hobbies? Do I say I am who I truly am, or do I even know?
We often go through this life at full capacity speed with no precautions to the danger. We have a million things to do in only a small amount of time. Do we really live as though each and every day counts and matters? Are we leaving a legacy for our children, and our grandchildren? What are you saying to those you care for most? Do they know and realize what is the most important thing in your life? Do they see you so stressed out from worries? You may say you trust in God, love God, serve God, attend church, even study the bible, and quiet possibly preach and teach the gospel and profess to be a Christian. However, saying these things and actually living them are two totally seperate things. Many of us need to realize that our talk and walk need to align with one another. If you say it, then you had better be doing it. People see falsehood and fake. They know if you are everything you profess to be. Are you a people pleaser and worry what you look like and what others think of you? Are you a perfectionist; so hard and critical towards yourself you believe rejecting your self, down playing who you are is actually admirable? As we profess to be children of God do we actually talk the talk and walk the walk? How much time do we spend with the Lord in connecting with Him? If we are professed Christians shouldn't we be light in this darkened world?
The Lord rejoices over His children. He desires our fellowship. We are defined in Him, because we are His children. We are His children when we accept Him as Lord and Savior. He says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. He knew us before we were conceived and fashioned in our Mothers wombs. We are His beloved. He died for us so we could be reconciled back to God the Father. We can not say we are something if we never spend time with or seek to know who we say we are of. Do we actually believe we say a prayer of repentence and never pick up the bible, never attend church, or grow in Jesus Christ. We must have a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with Him. We as His children should be more than able to hear His voice. He is our shepherd and he leads, guides, and protects us in all things if we but allow Him to.
Are we convinced that we place the Lord Jesus 1st when actually we put everything else as a higher priority, like waking up and checking our voicemails, texts, FB msg, and all of the other social medias? Are we who we are supposed to be? Are we actually attempting to solve our problems in life on our own, bearing all the weight of the world on our shoulders. Love is not a performance- based endeavor. Living loved and knowing who you are in Christ Jesus is a quiet daily surrender to the One who made us. Will you slow down enough to receive what He has for you today? How it must break His heart when we search and seek for answers everywhere; but where we should seek them is from Him and His precious wisdom in His word. He defines who we are. He says we are His, purchased at a great price, His dealth on calvary, His precious blood shed for all those who accept His precious sacrifice, for remission of sins, reconciling us back to God the Father. Know before realizing anything each day as we start on our way that above all things otherwise, WE ARE LOVED!
