DON'T YOU DARE QUIT!

Listen up ok! I know this time we are all in is not the easiest of times. We are all struggling and finding it harder and harder with each passing day to get by and hope things start to make sense. What if that day never comes? What if we simply have to just trust that all things will work together for the good of those who love God?
Romans 8:28 says “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.”
We do not always understand this nor do we want to. The truth is a lot of times we want to sit down and sulk and wallow in it. It is simpler, or so we assume so to play the blame game and not to own up to anything or accept our fault in our circumstances. We do not want to be strong and we do not want to work it out.
Life is not easy and is not for the faint of heart. It is hard and it takes tenacity and sure will to overcome and persevere in hope and faith. Some days are very discouraging and it is seemingly an overwhelming task just to get out of bed. Come on, be honest with yourself. We all have to mother ourselves and talk ourselves up. Some days of course are better than others.
These are the days we must lean in harder and dig in our heels farther, be bold and brave enough to pray those hard prayers and seek God more. You see he will meet us where we are at. He is more than faithful. He invites us into fellowship and we may converse with him. He desires our hearts, our honesty, our insecurities and all. He wants a personal relationship with you. Yes he already knows all about everything, he is God, but that is not the point. He gives us peace and understanding in a world full of chaos and adversity. He wants our all and we can walk with him through this life and he leads, guides and directs us in all things.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says “ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Sometimes we become depressed, sad, overwhelmed, and even in the middle of a battle with the unseen. I have been here many times. The best thing I know to do is of course cry out to God in prayer but I choose to praise. I turn on the praise music and sing with all of my heart.
Everything has to bow to the name of Jesus Christ, even depression!
Philippians 2:10-11 says “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in the heavens and on earth and under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Exodus 14:14 says “ The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. “
All of us can become angry, bitter, and unreasonable. We can begin going through the motions of this life on replay and our heart is far from it. This is a danger. We have all been guilty of it.
I do not know one person who has not been exposed to offense. We all have something to forgive either of others or ourselves. Past hurts rehearsed over and over in your mind only makes you bitter, not better. We all may be unreasonable at times and even stubborn but if you think about it hard enough and long enough we must begin to see that Jesus has forgiven us of much and who are we to withhold forgiveness and grace from anyone?
Matthew 6:14-15 says “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
If we actually take notice the more time we spend in God’s word and with him in prayer and worship the greater peace we have and we are slowly being molded into becoming more like him. The more we stay away from fellowship with our other brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and distance ourselves, even sometimes isolating ourselves, we slowly become farther and farther away from where we need to be, together in the unity of church of those who love one another and help one another stay strong and walk strong in the faith. Isolating ourselves is one of the worst things to do when depressed or upset or for whatever reason. Just as the example of the sheep fold and the lone sheep who wanders alone is the one the wolf seeks to devour.
A Lot of times we do often feel defeated, overwhelmed, and simply saddened, depressed, and alone. Remember you are never alone. If you have given your life and heart to Jesus he is right there by your side. He is always near. Do not think your life is worth nothing. Jesus Christ died for you on Calvary. You are worth dying for. Do not quit, fight smarter! If you have not given Jesus your heart, ask him now. Simply talk with him in sincerity and mean it with all of your heart for him to reveal himself to you. Trust in him to save you. Read the word start in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Psalm 34:18 says “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Go read Romans 3:10, 3:22-23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9, 109:9-10.
There is always hope in Jesus. WE do not have to fear. Perfect love casts out all fear.
God’s word tells us what to expect and what is coming and how to do what is right. We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord! We are his warriors and yes this life is a battlefield! Suit up!
Love and prayers for each of you, my beautiful family and friends. 😀
