I love me! Yes, I love me, all of me; the good, the bad, the ugly, the broken, real, authentic, genuine true self that is me. Some days I am not so certain and other days I am totally convinced. We each are made so unique and precise in every aspect, all the way to our specific fingerprints. We are His masterpiece. We are made in His image. Genesis 1:27 He gives us hope, a future, and a purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 We are called to His good and perfect will to do His works towards others. We are called to love one another and forgive one another. As He has forgiven us of much, we are too as well. Romans 13: 8-10, 1 John 4:8 Who are we not to forgive others? He died for us and forgives us our sins. He has paid the ultimate sacrifice for our very lives. He died upon that old rugged cross for the sins of the world. He arose the third day and conquered death, hell, and the grave. Hallelujah! We are to offer others grace and love, patience, and forgiveness. Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:32.
It isn’t easy to walk in love at times. Some days we struggle more than others. Our ego gets in the way and we tend to be offended but we must realize how important it is to be a witness, and to love others to Jesus. It is easy for some more than others to love people. To some it comes naturally. God blessed my Dad with an enormous capacity to love others, and he truly did love people. My Dad was one of those persons who allowed God to use him and bless others with his love for the Lord. I am grateful for His great love for the Lord because through that great love he taught me much and out of that great love and surrender to the Lord he touched many lives for the Kingdom of God. Even in his brokenness he was an amazing testament to the great love and forgiveness of God. You see God sent His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17 My Dad was no where near perfect and never proclaimed to be, but only fallible man. We aren’t to look to man for guidance and direction but only to the good Lord. He did strive for the very best in all he was blessed to do. Only one was, is, or ever will be perfect. That is the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world, Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, my personal Lord and Savior. Thank God He loves us and forgives us. We only need to trust in Him. Call upon Him today, He is right there waiting for you.
