WHERE IS YOUR HEART

You know we should not dwell on the past. Whether it is regret, unforgiveness of self and others, or just simply bitterness and deep seeded genuine scars upon our souls, we must lay aside any hinderance before Him. I have experienced all of these. Many of us have. None of us are perfect. We do never claim to be, I hope. Jesus was, is and ever will be the only completely perfect man to walk this earth. I used to walk in so much shame and regret. It was debilitating, and tremendously painful to walk out each day of life. Our pain is not only physical, but mental, and spiritual as well. Until the Lord quickened my heart to show me who I am truly through His divine wisdom I struggled. I was looking through the misconception of truth hidden and surrounded by destructive lies that tore me down repeatedly with each passing day. These lies of the enemy must be replaced with the word of God. Hurt tends to cloud our vision and keeps us in bondage. God wants us to lay all things aside and come follow Him. He has great plans to prosper us and to give us hope and a future. We are not the self-defeating lies that bombard our busy minds, but we are what His holy word declares we are. We do not have to feel worthless. He says you were worth dying for friend, Calvary says so. What love is this to lay down one’s life for His friends? I pray you break free through those chains binding you today and shout to Him for He gives us liberty, freedom, hope, and promises us everlasting life.

We must be patient with ourselves and others. We all are on various levels. I am learning in God’s word to lay down anything that ensnares us that keeps us from having a pure fellowship and relationship with Jesus Christ. We may have that close personal relationship when we seek him with all our heart, mind, strength, and we will find Him. We need to read his word and study it. We need to take time for Him. We need to not neglect the time we spend with him. When we love someone, we spend our money, our time, our investment is in the relationship. The same goes for our precious Saviors relationship with us. We must choose to be close to him, not assume we cannot and do not have time. Let us worship, praise, and honor Him in all we do, say, and be. He is so worthy of all praise. No love will ever come close to this love of Jesus who gave His life so we may have life eternal. Won’t you trust Him today?

We cannot control anything and to believe so is simply a lie. Anything may and can become an idol in our life if we obsess over it. Even if we are not aware of it, we can have idols. I pray we humbly ask God to reveal these things to us so our hearts may be right before Him. I do not want to continually feed my unhealthy habits, but I want to invest in the Kingdom of God, the eternal. Is our money going to carnal self-obsessions that we tend to mask our painful shallow lives or is it contributing to God’s plan for His children, winning souls to Him? Our lives will forever be empty until we realize that huge void may only be relieved and complete and whole with the Love of Jesus Christ. I realize I am a work in progress indeed and daily I must die to the flesh and lay aside all hinderances, unforgiveness, pains, and hurts, all these things I lay down out of obedience and trust in His plan for my life. Sometimes I pick them back up, I am going to stumble I am human, but He shows me, and I lay them down again. I want to walk in obedience. I am in no way all that and a bag of chips having it all figured out. I too struggle. I struggle with depression along with so much more. Life comes with difficulties, and we hopefully learn as we go to be better than yesterday. We do not compare ourselves to anyone besides who we were yesterday. I thank Him for His great love for me and His patience and tender mercy and grace towards me. With Jesus we will overcome this flesh, this world, amen.
